Leverage the line

5 Ways to Leverage the Line for Sponsored Face Painting

If you’re thinking about sponsoring “free” face painting at your next open house, grand opening, customer appreciation day or other special event, don’t forget to leverage the line! Free face painting almost always attracts a non-stop line and is a perfect opportunity to mingle with your guests and spread the word about your business. Here are five easy ways to do just that!

  1. Balloons!
If you are sponsoring face painting as part of a community event, consider handing out custom branded balloons to your little guests. Kids always love balloons and what better way to bring more visibility to your brand than a bunch of balloons with your logo walking around town? If you’ve hired an experienced, professional painter it will get attention. You’re bound to overhear parents and teens ask “where did you get the face paint!?” and your balloon will remind them exactly where to direct people!

  2. Be present
The line for face painting can often be long, especially if it’s free to the public. This is a perfect opportunity to mingle with your guests and welcome them to the event. Having an extra event volunteer on hand can also come in handy to help guests choose their design before they get to the painter. This helps the line move faster and creates a great experience for your guests.

  3. Showcase your product
If you have a storefront but are sponsoring a face painter that will be outside, consider bringing some of your products outdoors for a sidewalk sale. Parents typically don’t like to leave their kiddos in line by themselves. By bringing a few of your featured products outside, they’ll feel more comfortable doing a little window shopping to pass the time while still being able to keep an eye on their children.

  4. Instagram-worthy pictures
Face painting is a highly shareable form of entertainment and is a perfect opportunity to encourage social shares and @mentions of your business. Consider having a custom photo frame or two available for social selfies right after your guests have been painted. This is a fun and easy way to work in your logo, social handles and any custom hashtags that were made specifically for the event.

  5. Face painting survival kit
Here at Rae & Co. we hand out a standard goodie bag to all of our guests. This little survival kit includes clean-up tips for parents, an emergency makeup remover wipe and a few treats for waiting patiently in line or sitting still. Other items that would be great to include are: individually packaged sunscreens, printed brochures, coupons, branded compact mirror, custom stickers and temporary tattoos.

So there you have it! Five ideas to leverage the face painting line and create a memorable brand experience for your attendees.
